Description
http://www.stnicholasredbank.org/kubancossacks.htm

There are several ROCOR parishes in Monmouth County, NJ. One of them, St. George's in Howell is a home for transplanted Cossacks. This website was sent by a friend. My family and I used to live close to all of this. I definitely miss it.

P.S.

The attached webite is that of St. Nicholas in Red Bank, NJ. It is my understanding that the priest serves both the Red Bank parish and the Cossack church (St. George) in Howell, N.J. There is also a much larger parish church in Howell, that of St. Alexander Nevsky.

I think you misunderstand.

The Cossacks are from Cuba.

They were perhaps sent there during the Kruschchev era?

I guess they don't allow Ukrainian speaking Kuban Kozaks to join their group.

You would think those fur hats would be a little to warm to wear around in Kuba.

Actually Castro just opened the first Church to opened in 50 years in Cuba and it is Orthodox! Russian at that. Castro also traveled to Mt. Athos. So what this means in totality no one knows except God. This is not news you hear on our media that is for sure.

Not only do the Kuban Cossacks (both in New Jersey and in Kuban) welcome Ukrainian speakers; they are in regular touch with other Cossack groups, including groups of Ukrainian Cossacks.

Are there any website for Ukrainian Cossack groups in the USA?

Inquiring minds want to know.
