Catholic Advertisement
When I went to The Drudgereport today, this advertisement was at the top of the page. The photo is interesting in that it is for a Catholic singles site and it appears to use an Eastern Chruch as the pic.
Anyone know where this is?

U-C,
On rereading your post, I'm presuming that you're speaking of the Catholic-Match site. Keep in mind that it's a pretty picture - eye-catching - and that's a factor in business. Anything that draws in business can quickly become tolerable. Lots of folks are just going to react with ohh and ahh and never notice that the background doesn't really resemble the church in which they worship weekly (and it could draw EC business - willingness to host an EC forum or not, bet he doesn't turn people away because they aren't Latins.)
Many years,
Neil (also curious as to the particular temple pictured)

Do we know it's an Orthodox church and not a Catholic church?
If it's Catholic, what's the big deal? Alexis, Just that it looks to be a particularly beautiful iconostasis. Frankly, I don't think any of those who wondered about it were particularly worried as to whether it was Orthodox or Catholic - we just have an insatiable urge to satisfy our curiousity and see more of it. Many years, Neil

I sent an email to Catholicmatch.com about the church used in their advertising. This was their response: This church photo is a stock photo that we used, and we do not know where it came from. We purchased the rights to use the photo because of it's architectural beauty. We're not sure whether the church is Byzantine or Eastern Orthodox. We do not know the location or name of the church.
