I ended up taking
both classes. It was a wonderful 2 weeks. I just got some photos. Mine was the only one that didn't have "Holy Mandylion" written on it. I didn't want any English on mine.

I like that my Christ looks like he has a broken nose.

The group shot is in the chapel at DSPT when Fr Brendan and Fr Eugene blessed the Icons.
Fr. Brendan will offer the 2 classes again next summer at DSPT if enough people register, but soon he is going to stop offering it elsewhere.
At one point during the painting/writing class he said "You'll never look at Holy Icons the same way again." June 28 I was at the Great Vespers at an Orthodox parish I've been to many times. I've spent quite a few hours praying before
their iconostasis. That night I looked at it and did feel like many of the Holy Icons on that screen I'd never seen before. It was an interesting experience.
