My Favorite Church Photo

This is the photo I keep on my desk. Something about this particular Church evokes a response deep within me. I would like to be buried here. The Church is the Church of St. Joseph in the village of Izhki, Siberia.

I see what you mean! Is it possible to make a copy of this photo? If so, how does one do that? I would LOVE to have a copy myself!

Looks very similar to the OCA cathedral in Chicago.

Anna,

Click on the picture to enlarge it, then right-click on the full-size image with your mouse - select Save Picture As - give it a name and it will be saved to your hard drive. You can then print it, etc

Many years,

Neil

Thanks Neil. I should have known that-I've saved/copied other pictures before...

I too think this is a wonderful temple.

I noticed the wonderful blue fence.

And the joyous yellow trim on the building.

My conclusion is that Alexandr has found his inner Ukrainian. laugh

Holy New Year!

When enlarged there appear to be crosses in the yard in the foreground, so I think their cemetery is just inside that blue, very blue!, fence.

I wish I had a better quality picture so I could use it as a wallpaper.

This is magnificant.

Deacon Borislav,

I'm guessing that you want to brighten it a bit; if you do, you'll find that the image has very sharp definitions.

Save the pic as I described to Anna. Then go to Photoscape and download it. It's a freebie photo editing program, is easy to use, and does wonderful stuff. It does a great job of brightening up some of the darker photos that I copy from postings here to use on the Directory.

Many years,

Neil

Looks more like a lithograph than a photo. But, it is beautiful.
