Cyril,
Why would our Oriental Orthodox or Catholic brethren (or, for that matter, brethren of the Chaldean, or Assyrian Churches, which are technically neither Byzantine nor Oriental) not be drawn to this forum? More to the point, why would anyone ask?
The forum's name is a misnomer since, although principally peopled by Catholics and Orthodox of the Byzantine or Constantinoplian tradition, it has long been pan-Eastern. One of those whose friendship I hold fondest here is my Armenian Orthodox brother, Ghazar. A quick review of the membership shows Copts - Catholic and Orthodox, an Ethiopian Tewahedo Orthodox, Syriacs, Chaldeans, Syro-Malabarese, and Maronites; the majority of those have posted at one time or another and several of them are active posters.
Not sure if that answers your question, because I find myself uncertain as to what the question is. We are a diverse body here - while Ruthenians and Ukrainians predominate, our active members span the spectrum of Eastern and Oriental Christianity - Catholic and Orthodox, as well as including Latins, several Protestants of diverse Church affiliations, and at least one Muslim.
What is most notable and unique about this community is its unparalled charity and acceptance - there is no comparable board on the net that can boast of being as accepting as this place is, for which much credit goes to the atmosphere fostered by our Administrator, John, and perpetuated through our generous and diverse Moderators.
Many years,
Neil
