I have noticed that when you change your Avatar, it changes it in all your *past* messages, as well as in your current & future ones. (Also true on other chat forums.) Which seems a shame, as it would be nice to see how people evolve! Also, you could change your Avatar daily depending on your mood. For example, when I'm happy, my Avatar would be:  when I'm angry, it'd be:  ; etc.!
