Many years to the new Metropolitan!

Unfortunately, that site contains a number of articles that are blatant propaganda against the Eastern Catholics, inspired by very conservative Russian old-style imperialism.

It also contains an article that is an unjust attack against Met. Andrew Sheptytsky.

For example, it says that Sheptytsky was against having Orthodox saints in the Calendar - the author is an ignoramus and if he had allowed research to dominate over his desire to write untrue propaganda, he would have known that Met. Andrew petitioned Rome to KEEP all Orthodox saints in the calendar . . .

That site also portrays EC's as trying to eclipse Orthodoxy in Ukraine - are the (Moscow) Orthodox that insecure?

Are they so insecure that they must continue to print untruths, religious and historic, in this regard?

Sorry to contradict, but it pays to be Inquisitive! There is no new Metropolitan yet in succession to Metropolitan Andrian. Archbishop Ioann of Yaroslavl and Kostroma is the Locum-Tenens, whose task it is to keep things going until the election of the new Metropolitan - which is done, not alone by the bishops, but by the Sacred Council of Bishops, clergy and laity, which will probably take place on the 40th day after Metropolitan Andrian's repose.

Metropolitan Andrian's funeral will be this coming Sunday; His Eminence will be laid to rest in the Rogozhskoie Cemetery in Moscow, among the other Old Rite hierarchs. Memory Eternal.

Prayers are now appropriate, for the repose of Metropolitan Andrian and the invocation of the Holy Spirit upon the Sacred Council which will elect the next Metropolitan.

The Sacred Council for the election of the new Metropolitan will not meet until late in October - one suspects that this involves the need to determine upon some suitable candidates. So far as those of us who are not going to be privileged to participate directly in the Sacred Council, we would do well to keep the need to elect a suitable Metropolitan in our prayers, asking Almighty God to reveal to the electors whom He has chosen.
