Fellow ByzanTEENS and everyone else who wishes that they were a ByzanTEEN I would like to propose a challenge to all of you. In my youth group at Annunciation parish in Homer Glen with Fr Thomas Loya we were talking about the amount of homework that we are left with on Sunday nights and afternoons.
Fr. Loya told us that Sundays should be for the two P's. They should be for Praying and Playing and NOT for homework(unless you have to study for a test monday. then it's okay to Study Sunday night). So our group got to talking and we decided to make it part of our fast. We are going to try and do all of our homework on Friday afternoon or Saturday night so that Sundays will be free for playing and praying.
I urge everyone else to do the same. Even if you an adult this means no chores on Sundays for you and your kids. Have them do things on Saturdays. Try it. You'll feel more fufilled at the end of the week and feel more refreshed and relaxed as you start out your week.

I can tell you from many many many years of experience NOT to wait until the last minute to complete school work.
Father is not only giving you a challenge but also helping to teach you all proper study habits. If you develop them correctly now you will be thankful later.

I will agree with the Right Honorable Gentleman from the Old Country.

Procrastination is NOT one of the P's. But then again, niether is football...

I'll admit, I'm a bit of a nerd, and I got all my work done really early in school (and college, and grad school)... OK, I'll fess up, if you get your homework done early on Friday afternoon, you can go on a bender all weekend with no worries -- if you're over 21, of course! See, I DID learn something in college. wink Just kidding, sort of.

Thank you for the nod of acknowledgement.
The Honrable and Most Admirable Pyrohy knows what he speaks of, as I finalized many a paper the night before it was due. Once I learned to structure the writing process and not complete the final draught at 3 in the morning my life got semi-easier.
