In your charity please pray for my daughter Shannon who is at the Antiochian village in Ligonier PA for 2 weeks with Metropolitan PHILIP and the Bishops and Priests of our Archdiocese. I have never even seen the Metropolitan!!!! I can not believe what a wonderful place it is!!! If you want to see their webpage and pictures go to http://www.antiochianvillage.org

Thanks,
Michael

Hi Michael,

I have heard that it is a very nice camp!
I pray that your daughter will get much out of it both in fun and in her spiritual life!

In Christ,
Alice

Dear Michael,

You are very sweet, and very blessed to be so close to your daughter...but as you know, love means letting go sometimes. Pray for God's protection for her daily and she will be just fine...what better hands could she be in than your very own Metropolitan Phillip?

(I remember the year that my then 14 year old son attended our Greek Orthodox Archdiocese's camp, Ionian Village in Greece, and how nervous I was that he was flying overseas without me and my husband, until we saw that coincidentally, our Archbishop Iakovos was on the very same flight...I knew then, that was a sign, that he would be safe and that the flight would be fine! )

In Christ,
Alice

The Antiochean Village is truly a wonderful place. We were blessed to have been able to enjoy the retreats there while my husband was a deacon canidate. Now that he's a deacon, we have not had a retreat there. But may someday soon.

Oh and don't worry about her not eating well. Oh my! They have a resident chef, such wonderful food. Fond memories indeed!

Dear Pani Rose, thanks for the words of encouragement, I have heard nothing but great reports about the village as well. In my brief 2 hours there after we delivered Shannon, I was amazed at the amount of new construction that I was told had occured in the last year or so. It is truly a gift from God. Thanks for sharing, I had heard some Byzantine Catholics used the village as well, thats super.
Blessings,
Aidan Michael

Christ is in our midst!!!

Just an update on the kids at the village. Things are going very well, the Lord is truly working amongst the youth. Seeing them all makes one realize that the church is growing and the youth are the messengers. God is good!
