One of my landlord's mules has come down with pneumonia, and this has finally awaked some alarm in me, the disease if from a human host. I ask for prayers not so much for the mule (though if you wish, then go ahead; the loss of this beast would not be good, as it is one of a matched pair), but for my Spiritual Father, the Priest William, and the hundreds of children here in Missouri and elsewhere that have been stricken this year by this most serious virus. This outbreak has closed whole school districts, and the number of closings related to it have probably exceeded already the total number of closings in the last ten years.

Lord, have mercy.

Lord have mercy - and please, may all the humans WASH THEIR HANDS a million times a day - or at least use hand sanitizer.

The sincerity of your deeds has revealed you to your people as a teacher of moderation, a model of faith and an example of virtue, through humility and wealth through poverty. O Father and Pontiff Cyril, ask Christ God to save our souls.
