I don't like to ask for myself, but my back is to the wall.

My income from work stopped improving when I was 17 in 1982 after something strange happened on a job. (I had jobs since age 12) My average income has been $3000/yr. I have no disabilitys and a high IQ. Needless to say I've never been married.
On the bright side I've had much oppurtunity to grow spiritually and most people percieve me as being about ten years younger than I really am.

I've been out of work about 6 weeks now after a three year break from the 'curse'. My credit cards are almost past thier limits. I've been hired five times in the past 6 weeks, but they keep changing thier mind before I start.

I will certainly pray for you. Stay confident in the mercies of the Lord.

Christ is risen!! Indeed He is risen!!!

Richard:

Have you tried the resources at the State Employment office? Go in and sign up. They'll send you to talk with a counselor. They'll help you assess your skills and what will make you atractive to an employer. They usually have a list of jobs that employers send to them for assistance in filling.

You don't mention your education. There are resources at your local JTPA (Job Training Partnership Act) program. There is another federal program--OJT (On the Job) training--that may pay part of your wages if they can get an employer to accept you for work. In the process, the programs will test you for high school education and help you get a GED if you don't have a high school diploma.

I have been through all these programs while I was out of work with an injury some years ago.

Keep the Faith. God does not abandon his own.

In Christ,

BOB

Thanks for prayers and good advise.
I have two years of physics(college). Ten years study of spirituality and psychology(personal study w/teachers) I've even expert advised the Government a couple of times.
I have a possible job delivering air freight in my van. They asked me to get higher insurance. I did today, but they don't have work for me yet. I'll see tomorrow. I'll wait for them to call me.

This will be my 6th hire in as many weeks. Three had me wait and then changed thier mind. Two were looking for free labor(hire someone for a day, hide and not pay) I had to track them down to get paid for a day.
