I thank God for Metropolitan Herman's strong pro-life message to the Orthodox faithful and to all Americans. I also find his tie to the concept of "stewardship" an interesting one. (I just purchased Good and Faithful Servant: Stewardship in the Orthodox Church from SVS Press, Anthony Scott (Ed.). )Stewardship is an interesting Biblical concept that I have not yet studied extensively. Based on the Metropolitan's words, I certainly see how it can be far more encompassing than initially thought. Thank you for the link and God grant him many years! Gordo

It is being used in various different areas other than financial. There are a number of topics it is being applied to including the pro-life issue as seen by Metropolitan Herman and other hierarchs and the environment as seen by the Ecumenical Patriarch's statements.
