Some recent comments about liturgy and pews and the like have reminded me of several jokes. Perhaps this will lighten up some conversations that may need it.

1. Did you hear the one about the Eastern Church that went pewless? They say it suddenly became Orthodox.

2. Did you hear the one about the fellow who was walking down the sidewalk and turned into a...drugstore? Poor man.

3. Did you hear the one about the man who went into his garage and turned into a car?

4. Did you hear the one about the teenager who went into McDonald's and turned into a hamburger?

...then again red herrings are rarely funny.

Two Latin priests were walking down the street when they spotted an Eastern Rite priest and his sons standing on a corner. One Latin priest says to the other, "Imagine a wife and five children, and they call HIM "father"?

Then there's the one about the two scrub women on their knees scrubbing the stones in Red Square in Moscow. One says to the other, "Do you think Lenin is in heaven?" The other replies, "Of course he is! His mother was Orthodox!"
