Era of 'unborn mother' looms as scientists use aborted foetuses to grow human eggs

This is beyond my scope of comprehension.

My God forgive us!

These words were posted by the moderator of a list I am on and I felt them very consoling. Thought I would share them with you.

Of course this is upsetting -

But we should never be surprised - nor even dismayed - Jesus is the LIFE. Cling ever to him.

Satan's is the culture of death and he is ever seeking ways to pervert God's great plan for our participation in his creation especially in our body.

Our body is the unique expression of the love of God - our conjugal love is the unique reflection of the Blessed Trinity - union of Father and Son producing the life giving love which is the Holy Spirit , the Lord and Giver of Life.

That is why contraception is so wrong because it frustrates the purpose of marriage which is the total expression of unifying, unconditional, prophetic and creative love. As soon as we introduce an obstruction that not only frustrates the openness of the action but is also a complete negitavation of love - of God. In short a rejection of God who is love. A terrifying prospect.

It is not given to many of us to speak out and condemn. Not all of us can keep our cool when confronted with evil couched in "reasonable speak". Still less have the gumption not to waste our energy in proclaiming the truth to those who will not hear - casting our pearls before swine! But it is our duty to pray and participate with the Holy Father in imploring the Holy Spirit to infuse all humanity with true constructive love.

Pope John Paul devoted the first five years of his pontificate to exploring this area of life. How perspicacious he was when we see what has happened in the intervening years. We should try to understand this ourselves - it's difficult. But I suggest that you look at http://www.giftfoundation.org/totb_overview_article.htm which gives a fairly understandable overview. By studying the Churches teaching especially in this area we can understand that the Church is not a negative force here but a powerful and prophetic witness to truth.

How horrible. I am so distressed that the Christian Churches seem to have completely lost the ability to speak to our popular culture, a culture which seems to have completely lost its moral sense.

I heard this whilst I was eating breakfast this morning - and it has come back to haunt me at times during the day.

To put it mildly, I'm appalled.

I just do not know how anyone can countenance such a thing.

So far this is in the very early stages - let's hope that it proves to be unsuccessful.

The function of this image is to reflect the Trinity, “an inscrutable divine communion of [three] Persons” (Nov 14, 1979). Thus, in a dramatic development of Catholic thought, John Paul concludes that “man became the ‘image and likeness’ of God not only through his own humanity, but also through the communion of persons which man and woman form right from the beginning.” And, the Pope adds, “On all of this, right from ‘the beginning,’ there descended the blessing of fertility linked with human procreation” (ibid).

The body has a “nuptial meaning” because it reveals man and woman’s call to become a gift for one another, a gift fully realized in their “one flesh” union. The body also has a “generative meaning” that (God willing) brings a “third” into the world through their communion. In this way, marriage constitutes a “primordial sacrament” understood as a sign that truly communicates the mystery of God’s Trinitarian life and love to husband and wife – and through them to their children, and through the family to the whole world.

Well after reading this article I can understand why the darkness of this world has convinced people they can do this. It is as close as he can come to creating human life himself from human life. Trying to replicate the love the Triune God shares with in us, by making it a lie to the world.

Just from reding the posts here, the article and its contents sound so ghastly and obscene that I'm not even going to read it. (I'm not saying that shoudn't have posted it, but that I don't want to finish the day as Anhelyna started hers.)

I'm going to go home to my dear wife and newborn child and pray that the Lord comes again soon!

Lord, have mercy!

Once again, despite all the high-sounding words about ethics committees and careful consideration, we go down an abominable path. Has an ethics committee ever found a procedure it could not approve?

The ultimate quote in this article is the ethicist who claims the central issue is that the fetus can not give informed consent to have its ovaries harvested. Apparently the fact that it did not give its informed consent to be aborted has not impinged on the consciousness of this guy.

Ok, my blood is boiling!

At first when I read Anhelyna's post I thought ok we are all gonna be seahorses Science creates she-male human hybrid....

Then I read it again...Oh my God, man is creating a monster. How perverted can the darkness of this wolrd become with God's creation? How long will God hold back his judgement on us? It seems to me we are really pushing the envelope. Even with all the stuff that goes on in the world today this has to be the icing on the cake.
