Which makes one ask, why don't they embrace the Christian ones? Oh, I forgot. The Christians were "never there." Turkish Undersecretary of Culture and Tourism, Mustafa Isen, and the Acting Chief of the United Nations (UN) Kosovo Interim Mission (UNMIK), Charles Brayshaw, signed an agreement on August 26 that ensures greater cultural cooperation between Turkey and Kosovo.
The agreement includes the restoration and renewal of cultural sights such as the Sinan Pasa Mosque, built during the Ottoman-Turkish period in Prizren, Kosovo, Mehmet the Conqueror Mosque in Pristine, the Kizil Mosque in Ipek and the Sultan Murat Tomb.
In September, representatives from the two countries will sign an agreement needed to renovate the Sultan Murat Tomb. Isen emphasized that cooperation with Kosovo has improved and that the discussions were perfect. The agreements will not solely stand on paper.
