Request: Looking for "who, what, when, where, why" information concerning the lifting of the excommunications by the Pope and Patriarch a couple decades back. And looking for exact statement made by JPII regarding the Church breathing with two lungs. Also any other (postive) actions taken or words spoken from our Catholic and Orthodox spiritual shepards relating the bringing about of full communion.

[This information is being used in a handout about how the Church has split into Western and Eastern factions.]

Thanks to all.

Mir v'sim.

Try the Papal Documents "Ut unim Sint" and "Orientale Lumen" both by Pope John Paul II.
You can probably find them on line: try using www.cin.org They have some documents relating to the Eastern Catholic Churches and the Orthodox Churches. I have saved some of their materials to disk myself to peruse slowly when I have the time. Hope this helps. Only blessings, Silouan
