Today my local paper, "The Hartford Courant," had two stories about people "church shopping" and some of the things that they were looking for. I felt it timely for those who are preparing for the August 6th evangelization conference, so I am posting the URLs to the two stories, below.

Mentioned in one of the articles is a book, "The Unauthorized Guide to Choosing a Church" by Carmen Renee Berry. Maybe those involved in the planning could find some time to at least peruse this book for ideas and information. Could be an interesting summer read.

I found it fascinating that The Courant, which is usually not all that good on religious reporting, happened to have these articles. One centers on a retired minister (United Methodist BTW, Dan!) and the other on an unchurched woman.

Happy reading!

John
