the other day, I was reading an Evangelical Protestant magazine and noticed a full page ad for Campus Crusade, I believe it was. it stated thet Muslim children know of Jesus, but as one onne ot the "Three Great Prophets", but not as we believe Him to be.
my question: are there any Eastern Catholic or canonical Orthodox groups doing what the Evangelicals are doing (and doing well) or are we all sucked up into the ecumanaic thing that holds all spirituality to be a 'good thing'.
Much Love,
Jonn

On a more serious note. We dont opperate as the Evangelical Protestants operate. Both Orthodox and Catholic Churches are very well aware of their Mandate to take the Gospel to all nations. I am surprised you should even ask such a question this should be basic knowledge if you were a Catholic or Orthodox.

Pavel,

I'm not sure what you are saying. "We know we are to evangelize which means we don't have to evangelize?" Could you explain in what we we are reaching Muslims with the Gospel that is different from the way the Evangelical Protestants do it without suggesting that it is wrong to ask the question?

We do know that Muslims do convert to Christianity even in the Arabian penninular this happens. We have been around long enough to have been there before Islam came to be on the scene. We dont opperate in an in your face mode as they do. The way they operate gets our people (Catholic and Orthodox) in the Muslim world and more conservative protestant Churches very worried. Radical Islamists can't tell the difference between us and them. So we have lots of experience of missionary work gathered over 2000 yrs. So Missionary work is not new to us.

I wonder how effective Christian evangelization to Muslims is... considering that apostasy (leaving Islam) is punishable by death.

God bless,
