I was browsing around and I found this website. I believe this choir is a group of seminarians from Slovakia. Two members of the choir are seminarians who stayed at my parish for some time this summer. I hope this link works. Enjoy!

This is the first time I ever heard this style of chant. It it "Gallician" ? it reminds me a bit of some Georgian chanting. It is very different from the other chanting I have heard from further south eastern mediterranean. This "slovakian chant" seems more festive and exubherant...is this a cultural view or a universal view ? I do not know.

Some of you may have seen my post in "Kliros" called "Chrysostomos CD", but if you haven't, you may enjoy it.

No, it is not "Slovakian Chant". It is the Subcarpathian-Rusyn Prostopinije. Instead of using the original Rusyn-Church Slavonic, the current Slovak nationalists of the present Pjashev Eparchy have introduced the literary Slovak language. No such thing as a "Slovakian Chant". FYI
