Does anyone know of a place online to find the music for the Akathist to St. Luke that I got from St. John of Krondstadt Press? Thanks to Dr. Alex for the tip!

If you have the Book of Akathists from SJKP, a variant of the Pochaiv Akathist melody is given with music as well as another melody for the Akathist to St. Seraphim which was used at Divayevo. Other melodies work as well, like the "Kyivan Matins Chant" and several others. If you need music let me know, I have some electonically.

Dear Father Deacon,

Thanks for your reply. I don't have any music, they just sent me 3 pages front and back with the text.

There is a traditional Ruthenian melody that is easy to sing (but I don't have a copy with me to post at the moment). When all else fails sing the Akathist to Kontakion Tone 8 (if you are in a Ruthenian parish). It is easy to apply and people will harmonize almost immediately.

Ther is a man, Jerry Jumba, of Rusyn decent, a cantor, and he has a series of CD's that have the old chant melodies. If interested, I could look it up. mik
