Mr. Damick's article is very interesting to me personally. It reminded me that on a vacation trip to Italy this spring I was invited to sing a ditty for our tour group, but I declined, explaining that I only sing at church. I had not been asked to sing outside of church since my tonsuring as a Reader, but intuitively I sensed something would be wrong in doing so.
