I would like to recommned this little volume to all of you. One of the practices I have is to try to take a little meditation to start the day in addition to the Morning Prayers. This collection is entirely patristic in its presentations for each day of the year. Each selection takes about a page and each one corresponds ot the date on the calendar. It has a challenge for each day for living the Christian life progressively--to borrow from another thread.
Part of the introduction says, "We turn to the past, to the distant past, to the Church's infancy, putting forward a plan for meditation, during the course of a year, on the writings of the Fathers."
I bought mine through eighth day books. Anyone who wants their 800 number can pm me.
In Christ,
BOB
