CDL This is an odd way to begin, again, to ask for input. Maybe no one here knows. Maybe they don't want to say any more than your correspondent wants to say. Eli

Well, the keynote address at the 2005 Byzantine Spirituality Conference was on the new translation, but it looks like there was more discussion in that thread about the music the Religious Education department provided for Vespers than about Father Jack's address. Yours in Christ, Jeff Mierzejewski

For informational purposes, The Online BCW has printed articles about "Plainchant". http://www.archeparchy.org/page/bcw-online/bcw.htm Although this is a previous issue, the most current newspaper includes a story about what was recently presented to entire clergy concerning changes to the liturgy. Also an early agenda for the 2006 Spirituality Conference was disclosed.

Thank you very much, Zeeker, for posting the BCW link. It should help some understand better what has been going on nationally.

Glory to Jesus Christ!
In an effort to keep all communication accurate:
The "commission" to which Mr. Lauffer refers in the first post on this thread is, in fact, NOT the Inter-Eparchial Liturgical Commission, but a commission established by the Eparchy of Parma.
There are, in fact, materials which have been, and continute to be, assembled for the catechesis of the faithful of the Pittsburgh Metropolia in re: the new Liturgikon and the Faithful's Book. I do not know when the Council of Hierarchs will release these, but my (uniformed) guess is that this will happen when the Council of Hierarchs gives approbation to these books. Further information would only be available from the Council of Hierarchs.
