I haven't read manga in a long time. I have Lone Wolf and Cub. Recently, my nephew was watching an episode of Trinity Blood, which looked interesting.

Yes, I like everything that Hayao Miyazaki was ever involved in, which is a lot of things. I liked Nadia Secret of Blue Water series from 1989. Hmm, Golgo 13 was good..but probably x rated.

I havent kept up with anime very much in recent years. I dont have interest in many of the action adventure shows. I mostly enjoy the fantasy, mystery, comedy, history, sitcom, kids show stuff.

Like that show with the potty mouthed mischeivous denace-the-menace type kid on cartoon network is hilarious.."Shin Chan" it's called..thats about the best series I've ever seen from Japan!!
I really admire Japans animation..it's unique, I hope someday i can come across some collectors who will share obscure series and films with me on laserdisc..

Be careful of things that you let your soul come in contact with. If something is of God, meaning it is something that He made and gives us as a Glimpse of Himself, then that is good. But, be very careful of watching things that are not of God because they will not bring us closer to Him and may even harm His image in us. The point that I am trying to make is that I have seen some anime and I now that some of it can be harmful to people. i am not trying to sound like a moralist, but not every form of entertainment is golden. We have an obligation to protect our souls. Just be careful. Perhaps i am thinking of quite different anime than what you are speaking of.

God Bless

Jenkins,

Great advice! From what I have seen, Anime and Manga comics come in all moral shapes and sizes. One has to be VERY discerning with this medium. Just like the comic books I used to read as a kid. I mean hey - we all KNEW that Silver Surfer rocked the moral universe, right?

God bless,

Anime is like any other form of art, it can be used for good or evil. And hey, the Silver Surfer is awesome..

That's right, Nathan.

My hunch is that the Silver Surfer sent Thor packing!
