Christ is Born!

It is with a heavy heart that I share this tragic news with you all.

Deacon Charles Burger, serving at Sts Cyril and Methodius Byzantine Catholic Church in Cary NC, is in critical condition after a traffic accident on Christmas Day. His wife Barbara and son Ivan were killed in this accident. Please remember all of the members of this family in your prayers. The news article url address is below.

I cannot believe the enormity of this disaster. With all we have been through as a diaconal family, the sadness of this event hurts intensely.

Words cannot and will not suffice in considering the road ahead for Charlie in the healing process. I do not know anything about the details or the extent of his injuries.

As we place this in the Healing Hands of God, may we also remember to keep all the members of the Burger family suffering loss by this event in our hearts and prayers.

Ok,

We seem to have two threads with the same topic and prayer request going. We all offer our prayers for Deacon Charles for the restoration of his health, and prayers for his departed wife and child. I am also going to close this thread and ask that all other prayer requests be posted on the other thread that was started last night.
