I too, said a prayer to the Theotokos for Saddam. his whole situation was quite saddening. I also see a lot to be said for the idea of a final moment. time can be cut down to the infitesmal, and who knows (and hopes) what happened between Saddam and Christ in that last possible division of time. it doesn't help matters that the execution transmorgified into a glorified lynching, with certain people shouting at the man to go to Hell, etc. I am sure that Adolf Eichmann had a more proper execution.
