A few days ago it occurred to me that St. Nicholas in Cleveland may be a church very affected by the Revised Liturgy.

Why are they any different? St. Nicholas is the only Croatian Byzantine Church in the US and perhaps in the Western Hemisphere(don't hold me to that claim though). They have a different chant from other Byzantine churches which is really a Serbian chant (thank goodness for the internet because some of the Croatians there would have me flogged for saying it is a Serbian chant).

So do they have to abandon their chant now and adopt only the new music prepared by the infamous commission? Or will they be able to maintain their identity? It is important to note that their choir responds in Slavonic (except the Creed) and the priest says the liturgy 98% in English. (so much for pastoral sensitivity). But if the day ever came that they would go to English could they keep their chant and would they have to use the new translation.

It would be ashame for a truly unique church like this to loose what they have.

I'm not trying to start a rumour or create hysteria for those at St. Nicholas. I'm genuinely curious as to what will happen at this unique parish.
