It is a wonderful book. I remember many years ago (I was an undergraduate at Fordham University) Father Walter spoke to the students about prayer. It made a lasting impression, and I always feel especially blessed to have met him. He was a living Saint, and I hope to see his icon.

One of my favourite three books ever published. Suitable for any time of the year. It's a personal account of his striving to live a Christian and priestly life while a prisoner under the Soviets. Worth more than all academic treatises combined, if you ask me.
