Good news! Due to changes in shipping rates I can announce a decrease in the price of the Bible from Kyiv. They are now available for 28.00 USD (24 EUR)! cool

For those of you who have ordered books, I will be in contact to discuss this change.

Other books are also available. I will be putting a 'catalogue' online soon.

Dear Fr. Deacon, Friends,

Oops! frown The list is available to download, but I forgot to post the details.

A catalogue (.pdf) of items available from the UOC-KP can he downloaded here . Please note that all prices include postage.

They produce a very nice liturgical calendar (size A4, 150 pages), with each day's entry including a list of saints (ones of the Kyivan Church in bold type) along with the readings. This is extended to Vespers/Matins where appropriate. It also includes a list of Saints names, information on fasts, plenty of colour pictures, and this year features an article on, and Akathist to, Sts. Borys & Hlib. Yours for just $7.00 USD. cool

If you are interested in their larger format Gospel, or have any questions, please feel free to send me a PM or write to: knyha AT pivets DOT plus DOT com.

Dear Kobzar,

My KP Bible arrived last night - thank you ever so much!

It is written in excellent modern Ukrainian and is the first fully Orthodox bible with the entire OT canon I've seen - I love the fact that the Psalter is divided into the Kathismata!

Also, FYI, the Prayer of Manasses is given right at the end of "Second Paralipomenon."

Duzhe Dyakuyu!

Alex

Dear Kobzar,

Actually, I don't know if you noticed this, but this Bible has the official seal of approval of not only the KP,, but also that of the Major Archbishop Lubomyr Husar!!

So this is the first full Orthodox Canon of the Holy Bible, with the Orthodox deuterocanonicals of the Old Testament that has the approval of an Eastern Catholic Primate for use by Eastern Catholics!!!

I could hardly fall asleep last night after I realized this . . .

First the dropping of the Filioque and now this . . . too much to take in for one month . . . wink
