I received a PM from Marian. As Jason has mentioned, he will be going into the hospital for Cushing's disease treatment and was not sure if he would be able to write to us for a while, perhaps a few weeks.
This sounds like a very stressful time in Marian's life and he is in need of our continued prayers.
May this disease be successfully treated and cured and that Marian may fulfill all of God's intentions for his life...

Through the intercession of Sts. Benedict, Drogo, Margaret of Antioch, and Ursus of Ravenna, I offer my prayers for Marian. Lord have mercy on him!

Through the intercessions of Sts Peter and Paul who's very shadows healed the sick, Lord have mercy on Marian!

I had a real treat a few days ago. Marian called me on the telephone! It was a short but happy conversation. Later as we were chatting in Yahoo instant messenger he commented that I sounded "just like an American!" \:\) I told him I sound like a hick. He didnt know what a hick was so I told him I am a redneck. Well, though I think he had heard the term before he didn't quite know what a redneck is either. So I said "unlearned peasant." THAT he understood! We continued talking and I told him I was reading the book "The way of a pilgrim." He commented "OH, a book about a redneck and his travels throughout Russia!"

Marian, thank you for being such a good friend. You have been a tremendous encouragment and example to me and to all of us. We will miss your presence while you are in the hospital, but we will be present with you in prayer. May our Lady keep you safe and shield you with her mantle and veil and may the Good God make this path you are on be an easy one.

God bless you dear brother!

Jason
