However, one may note that in Russian Orthodox circles, there is an unwritten ritual taboo against singing "Kol' Slaven" in Church - the reason (which most Russian Orthodox have long since forgotten) is that the music was originally written for Tantum Ergo, Sacramentum. Chtec Member Registered: 01/27/02 Posts: 1933 Loc: Sharon/Hermitage, PA	As an aside, the Romanian Orthodox seem to like Kol Slaven--I have three different music books that include the words and music for C�t de mărit este Domnul �n Sion. However, they've added a lot of eighth notes to Bortniansky's original music (in order to accommodate the extra syllables in the Romanian translation) and they changed the final cadence. Dave
