How many parishes that formerly knelt on Sundays are now standing. My parish was typically mixed on Sundays with about 25% standing and the rest kneeling. Since the new books have been in use, most people, I'd say about 90% stand. The 25% that stood before, now, in general, stand during the portions of the Divine Liturgy labeled in the books as "People may SIT." Do your priests now chant or read all the prayers that were formerly taken silently? The prayers are taken aloud with a mixture of chanting and reading, mostly chant, however. We had restored zeon many years ago. In my parish as well.

I heard from a friend who attends a very Latinized Byzantine Catholic Parish in the Cleveland-area, that their priest addressed the issue of kneeling this way....
"The proper posture is to stand, but I won't tell you not to kneel."
Very, very clever. Needless to say, most still kneel.

Well, if "they" get to continue doing what they want, then why don't I get what I want -- the full recension back. Why do the Latinizers get what they want, but the true Byzantines are slapped down in the face of pastoral sensitivity??? I just don't understand this......and that's what's wrong with the RDL -- it doesn't make sense.
