At another tech oriented forum I frequent, one of the long time members has posted about their newborn infant daughter. She was born at 27 weeks development and has a heart condition known as Aortic Stenosis. She will require surgery at some point to repair this condition but as of right now, she's too small to have the surgery done.

The baby's name is Keirsten Brooke and she and her family could sure use some prayers.

Here's the forum thread talking about her.

Thank you all.

Prayers for the newborn soul Keirsten Brooke, that all may go well, and that God will grant her a full and healthy life on this earth.

Prayers also for her parents, for their anxieties and fears, that our Mother in Heaven will console them and give them strength in the coming months.

Amen!

In Christ our Hope,
Alice

Thank you all for your prayers. I let the father know about them and he's yet to respond, but I'm certain the whole family will be grateful. He posted a new update on her status today. She's had difficulties, but the doctors are hopeful she'll be improving to the point where surgery won't be so risky. smile

Lord have mercy! Please note that I myself was premature at 29 weeks. My prayers for little Keirsten Brooke.

Just wanted to post a brief update. The baby is growing fast and doing well. She's now 3 weeks old and continues to grow stronger every day. They'll still have to do surgery eventually, but they're hoping to keep putting that off until she's larger. And it looks like that's a good possibility. smile She and her families still need continued prayer, but so far things are going well. smile
I let the father know that we were praying for him and he is very appreciative. There's pictures of Keirsten on page 5 of the thread I linked to. smile

Prayers continue for this wee one.

Please tell the father that I know of a child who was in more or less the same situation with a few other cardiac problems as well from birth - and he's now over 17 years of age and reasonably fit and well and a typical stroppy teenager
