Yes, thank you. This was a touching article and for some reason brought tears to my eyes--I guess that you can take a New Yorker out of NYC but you cannot take NYC out of the New Yorker...

The article failed, however, to mention the large amount of money immediately donated for the church's rebuilding by the town of Bari, Italy--because of St. Nicholas. I believe that they hold his relics.

The little humble church on the NYC waterfront will never be the same, (once a spiritual haven for sailors--St. Nicholas is considered the patron saint of the sea in the Greek tradition ), though atleast it will be remembered through its rebuilding.

Praise be to God for the solidarity of man!
