I attend Vespers at the church it was filmed in. I try to picture where DeNiro and others were standing. Would that be in McKees or Cleveland (both Rock! ), or somewhere else? I used to sing in the choir in the church where "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" was filmed, but IMO, it's not that great a movie. It's Cleveland. St. Theodosius cathedral. Beautiful church.

Some excellent movies to look for, in response to Edward Yong's request for Slavic fare, Zelary (Czech) With Fire & Sword (Polish) focused on culture, Rabbit Proof Fence (Australian) Whale Rider (New Zealand), a good movie for the family! on redemption, Central Station (Brazilian) Widow of St Pierre (French) Betty

I loved the Branagh version of Henry V. My favorite part is at the end of the Battle of Agincourt, when the bodies are being cleared from the field to the sounds of Non Nobis Domine. Even in the horrors of war, Latin makes things seem beautiful.
An even better Shakespearean movie is Roman Polanski's MacBeth.

I love the Hundred Years War too, in a historical research sense, and Henry V could be pretty cold. The St Crispin's Day speech is fantastic though, as is the "Once more unto the breach" speech Act 3 Scene 1.
