I'm sure most of you saw the posts from yesterday that got deleted. I'm not trying to start a retaliation thread. I just think that the people who are opposed deserve equal time to the thread that lcanthony started that had a lengthy run.

Actually, on a post for post basis, in my opinion, there is probably a more vocal majority that have expressed (posted) displeasure with the RDL than those agreeing (in whole or in part and who post here) with the RDL.

The last posts on the similarly named thread which were deleted could very easily have been spun off in a different thread rather than being summarily deleted. Fortunately, I still have the original (now deleted) postings archived for reference.

This type of personal comment is not necessary. frown

I agree with Steve that the majority of the posts in these liturgical discussions have been against the RDL and for the official Ruthenian Divine Liturgy. This is all part of the process of sensus fidelium.

Regarding the deleted posts, I did not see most of them but I trust Father Anthony’s judgment. He has been a good moderator for this discussion and has strived to be fair to both sides. As always, posters are welcome to start new discussions on any relevant topic provide that these discussions are conducted with charity.

I do remember a post in the recently closed thread in which Theophilos seemed to complain that those who disagree with the RDL were all nasty people and that they should be censored. Unlike those comments showing disagreement on principle his remark above is very personal.

I am going to close this thread. I invite posters to start new threads, and remind them to keep them topical and to back up their points with appropriate references. And, above all, to post in charity.
