If anyone is looking for an absolutely magnificent Byzantine Divine Office Book - the one printed by the Ukrainian Catholic Eparchy of Stamford is a jewel. I presume that this book might even be used in the Archeparchy of Philadelphia, I am not sure, but the book is excellent and I would highly recommend to anyone interested in the spiritual riches and life of the Ukrainian Catholic Church.

Slava Isusu Khrystu!

It is a good book but very hard to use. One has to flip pages many times to follow the hours.

Sadly there are some shortcoming in the Book - unless it has been improved /updated /revised since I got it.

I agree it is a good resource - but take a look at Matins - abridged . Instead of the Hexapsalmos they have one psalm each day !!

For my own daily use I prefer the Old Orthodox Prayer Book

just wondered if you have done a Search on this book - it has been discussed many times in the past - not always favourably

Latin novices probably had the same complaint about the Roman Breviary. Regarding the daily divisions, one can pray all of the psalms appointed if one desires - there is nothing to make one stop at the daily divisions. I can see the idea of gradually introducing minor seminarians/school age kids into the Horologion but it does not have to stop there.
