We went to a St. Nicholas breakfast at Sacred Heart Byzantine Catholic in Livonia, MI last Saturday (held in their banquet hall).
They had a nice buffet, a magician/puppet show, and then St. Nicholas arrived (in truly lovely Eastern Rite bishop's vestments). He then dressed up a volunteer from the audience in other various costumes and showed how St. Nicholas was transformed into Santa Claus.
Each child who sat on his lap got a nice treat of a bag of chocolate gold coins.
It was very nicely done and my children had a wonderful time.
