Can anyone recommend some good website(s) to listen to some Ukrainian Christmas Carols?

As a rule, Ukrainian Christmas Carols are not sung until after the Liturgy of Saint Basil on Christmas Eve.

Rules are made to be broken!

I sing them, if you can call it singing, all year.

The best source is to order CDs from Ukrainian choirs (Yevshan is a great source) but in lieu of that you can search for the name of individual carols such as Boh Predvichny, Nebo i Zemlya, etc. and see what you come up with. One problem is that there are multiple possible transliterations of kolyadki (kolyada, kolyadi, kolyadka, etc.)

Slava Isusu Khrestu

Try St. Elias

http://www.saintelias.com/ca/music/carols.php

and go to "music" tab. You'll find liturgical and traditional kolyady .

Happy listening

This one is a mix because there are also Easter hymns. Track 22, which would be like "prekrasnye novosti", is particularly good.

There is a "sampler" (about 7 minutes worth) of Slavonic Christmas Hymns (Carols) available to view/listen on OLTV at:
http://www.oltvweb.com/christmas_hymns_sampler.php

It is just the first line or two of a dozen hymns that I recorded in Uzhorod at the Greek Catholic seminary there. The full set of recorded hymns in CD or DVD version is available from the online catalog of ECPubs at:
http://www.ecpubs.com/browse.html

More recordings are planned for next year, including a second volume of Christmas Hymsn. Proceeds from these recordings will be donated to support the seminary in Uzhorod.
