Well, President Obama would doubtless bring in such far-reaching abortion reforms. That is one way of taking care of the Palestinian issue.

All conservatives are either evil or deluded hawkish, power-hungry, unjust, pro-wealthy class, anti-poor, racist, misogynist, corporate advocating intolerant swine.

That is an unjust accusation against an innocent and very useful farm animal.

None of the Democrats are electable.

Hillary Clinton, Barrack Obama, and John Edwards all support Infanticide in the womb. Clinton and Obama both support late-term Abortion. I beleive bth support Partial Birth Abortion. I know Clinton does.

Obama is a monster who wouldn't even sign off on a law, and in fact passionately opposed said law, that would protect the life of babies who where born after Botched abortions.

Often, in fact usually, if the Abortion doesn't manage to end the life if the baby in the womb, and the baby is born, the Doctors leave the baby to die from neglect.

Obama opposed new laws forbidding this practice as he feared it would challenge Abortion Rights as a whole.

Hillary Clinton is not much better.

On this issue alone I must by moral nessesity deny them my support.

In addition, the tax reforms and large scale governmental involvement in the economy and our private lives, and support for new restrictions on our freedom of speech and press, would hamper any enthusiasm I wuuld have for them, and generate instead a desire to see them leave the race.

there is much to oppose int he Democratic platform as a party, and each of the individual Candidates support these, and more. Edwards seems the less offensive of the three, but even he would support Abortion, Homosexuality, and big government.

More did not support infanticide.

More did not endorse the notion f State-sanctioned robbery.

More did not support the noting that the State was supreme in determining morals, and died a martyr's death to oppose such a concept.

Call me evil or deluded if you like, but if any attempt to tamper with my liberty, I will resist, and I will resist the wholesale slaughter of the unborn, and the idea that he State is the central agent of moral decisions.

I vote Libertarian in most local contests if only to help them stay on the general election ballots. If it appears that a democrat has a good chance of toppling a republican I vote for them. Currently I support Ron Paul in spite of his party affiliation so you could say I am non-partisan.
I dont have a preference in the democratic primary, though I am disturbed that Mrs Clinton worked on the Goldwater campaign in her youth. She could be a closet republican fifth columnist.

The Republicans are not much better as far as abortion goes.. unless one really thinks Ron Paul is electable.

Guiliani, McCain, Romney - which has done anything in support of life in anything? Gum flapping during the election year cycle doesn't count.

In his Utopia, More allowed for religious pluralism to the nth degree. It seems he opposed not the execution of unrepentant heretics insofar as they contributed to public confusion and weakening of public morals.

Perhaps Christians simply cannot vote for anyone nowadays and should remove themselves from public life altogether?

I'm going to the Georgia Democratic Party's Jefferson-Jackson Presidential Dinner tomorrow with my family. Obama, Clinton, and Edwards will all be present and will make speeches. There's a meet-and-greet before the dinner and speeches and I might be lucky enough to meet one or more of them! We'll see.

I would argue that, in general, Republicans have far greater numbers on the pro-life side. I say, in general, because the four former (1 maintained office) Republicans in CT were all pro-abortion. Also, again a generalization, but one that indeed has merit to support the above said claim is the Sacntity of Human Life Act (H.R. 4147) introduced to the House of Reps by Republican Paul Brown-GA which currently has 49 cosponsors all of which are Republican. This bill is, "To provide that human life shall be deemed to begin with fertilization." I will certainly watch this bill as it goes through the House to see how many Dems and Reps will sign on. Ron Paul and Duncan Hunter are the only two presidential candidates that have cosponsored this bill so for. Not that these two issues prove that one side is better than the other in the fight for life, but I honestly do believe (in my limited political knowledge) Republicans have a better track record on this issue....so far.
As for the above mentioned Republican candidates, McCain gets a 0% rating by NARAL, Romney has stated the he changed his mind about being pro-life when he actually became governor, and Guiliani...well...Guiliani is Guiliani.
I know that I've deviating from the threads topic (I'm sorry, but this was brought up), but I have a bit of a contention with Ron Pauls stance on abortion as well. He said on The View (yeah, yeah, my wife had it on and so I watched it too), that he believes that it's up to the states to decide on weather abortion should be legal or illegal. That of course is akin to saying that the "rightness" and "wrongness" of murder is somehow up for a vote, which is ridiculous. If I've misrepresented Dr. Paul's view on this, perhaps someone can point me to a place where he's clearer on the matter as he would be my first choice at the moment.
