During the time when I was a cantor I was always frustrated by the fact the official book containing the Old Testament & Epistle readings for Great and Holy Week - while excellent - was not complete, and that the readings were not presented in order (they are in different parts of the book which required much page-flipping). Since there were often a number of different readers it was difficult to keep things organized, and those who were occasional readers often stumbled on the the dialog with the deacon. So sometime in the middle 1980s I assembled all the readings by "copying, cutting and pasting" (think scissors and tape) the relevant texts from the NAB. That was before I had a computer so you can imagine what it looked like. Several years ago I decided to take another stab at it. The only electronic copy I had available to me at the time was the English Standard Version (which is essentially the RSV with the "Thou hasts" updated to Standard English. [If I was to do it again I would use the RSV-CE2 but that is not yet available in electronic format.]

I've had several requests for this collection of readings and so make it available here as a study aid. It is for private use only. [If you find typos or have any suggestions on how to improve the document please contact me.]
