Thank you for your prayers. As it turns out, there is no evidence of a stroke based on the MRI results. This is very disconcerting. Also, he is having trouble swallowing, and his doctor told my father that they should not install a g-tube out of concern for so-called "quality of life" issues! My father and I just got off the phone and he agreed that a g-tube is not very intrusive, and we cannot simply starve him to death. Amazing! It makes me very concerned about hospitals and doctors these days. Oh yes - and his doctor is ALSO my doctor... I'm very grateful that the Church's teaching is clear on these issues. Ordinary means cannot be withheld, even in the interest of a nebulously defined "quality of life"! Please continue to pray...
