I have noticed there are many "translations" and/or interpretations of this Russian spiritual classic. Is there one that is better than the others???

'The Way of a Pilgrim' was a recent selection of our local Orthodox/Catholic book-study group. Although different translations were used, I believe that (in our stage of the journey) all thoughts shared remained within the context of the author's message.
The recent edition translated by Olga Savin, forward by Fr Thomas Hopko is very good. For those who would like to learn more about the pilgrim's reference to the Philokalia, an appendix on 'The Teachings of the Holy Fathers on the Interior Prayer of the Heart' is also included in this edition.

thank you for responding. I have seen a lot of versions at our library in Phoenix, and I did not know which was the best one. They do not have the version by the person you mentioned.
