Dear Friends,

His Holiness, the Patriarch of Moscow, celebrated the Feast of the Nativity with a faithful cast of thousands!

Some of his sermon is noted on this page:

http://www.ewtn.com/vnews/getstory.asp?number=22539

His words were truly inspiring and uplifting.

Many years to His Holiness, the Patriarch of Moscow and the entire Russian Orthodox Church -
Mnogaya Leta!

Многая лета!

And kudos to the saintly Mother M. Angelica and EWTN for putting His Holiness' message on their site. Talk about fair-minded conservative Romans!

And of course I hope Mother recovers from the strokes — I only heard about them recently.

Dear Serge,

And nothing for the fair-minded, conservative Ukrainian Catholic who posted this?

Slave Jesu Kristu,

There is something about Slavic Christiantity that inspires me more than others. It is so incouraging to see the re-birth of Orthodoxy in Holy Russia. Only recently, I watch a religious news programme about how in the wake of non-traditional religiuos encrouchment, Holy Orthodoxy is reclaiming its lost sheep.

"Spasi Hospod'i l'udi Tvoya, i blahoslovi dostojanije Tvoye, pob'idy cerkvi nasej na soprotivnyja daruja, i Tvoja sochranaja Krestom Tvojim l'udi. (Troparion of the Holy Cross)
