Elsewhere in the Forum, it was noted that two of Eastern Pennsylvania's (Schuylkill County) Ukrainian Greek Catholic churches had closed. Happily one of Western Pennsylvania's architectural gems located in Lyndora (Butler County) recently noted its centennial (1006-2006) and published a well done history of the parish. The construction of the Standard Steel Car Company plant, the largest structure under one roof at the time, rapidly transformed Lyndora into the ultimate company town, complete with its signature "Red Row" company houses built for the workers. John Baycura (1886-1965), a native of Vyšny Čabiny (Zemplin County) and a member of nearby St. John's Byzantine Catholic Church, built the icon screen for St. Michael's. All told, he carved the icon screens for nine churches, including St. John's, nearby St. Andrew's (OCA) and the parish church in Vyšny Čabiny.
