With deepest regret, we must take cognizance of the breaking of Communion between the Metropolitanate of Bila Krynytsia and All the Old-Orthodox Christians and the Metropolitanate of Moscow and All Rus'. There is as yet no official announcement available, but tensions have been building for several years.
It is not for us to judge what may have caused this, but it is very much for us to pray, fervently and with tears, for a healing of this breaking of Communion. Until his holy death, Saint Ambrose of Bila Krynytsia did not cease to remind his flock that they should cherish their unity; hence it is appropriate to turn to him and ask his intercessions before the Throne of the Most High God. Many other Saints also come to mind.
Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy upon us sinners!
Fr. Serge

The Old-Ritualist Metropolitanate of Moscow and All Rus' is headed by Metropolitan Cornelius. Patriarch Alexis II heads the Russian Orthodox Moscow Patriarchate, which follows the Nikonian reform (except for a very small number of parishes who have "permission" to serve according to the pre-Nikonian service-books).

Prayers for a return to unity between these two jurisdictions
Many years,
Neil

Fr. Serge Such a small church, and it splits into two... how sad. The Old Believers give such heroic witness to this lax and cold world. Once you have news, please tell us what caused this schism.

C. I. X. Excuse my human frailty Reverend Father. You have put on Christ while I am still stained with the skepticism of adolescence (my only retention). Is this schism justifiable or just someone (arrogantly) taking the ball home because he doesn’t like how things are going or being (control) played? When you find the reason will you please also search the cause.

As a member of the congregation of a church under Bela Krinitsa, I am most intruiged as to the actual reasons behind the cessation of communion. I haven't been to my church in a while - and would dearly like to speak to my priest. At a time when the Nikonian Churches are uniting - the Old Rite decides to split into further factions. It is indeed a sad state of affairs.
