St. Sharbel is a Maronite Church and community in Peoria, IL. I have had the extreme pleasure to attend the Maronite Liturgy. I have attended during the Anaphorae of St. Sixtus, of the Holy Apostles, of St. Peter, and of St. John. Their outreach is they own some retirement apartments and let the senior citizens rent them at a lower cost. It is a wonderful idea, especially since it's in the same complex as St. Sharbel's Church so people only have to walk a few yards (metres for you Canadians ) if they want to do to Liturgy. Many years to Chorbishop Elia and Father Awada! May God bless their work in Peoria! http://www.rcpmco.com/ss/(As for Sharbel vs Charbel, I don't know what the proper Anglicanizaion is. It's listed as St. Sharbel.) Sts. Sharbel, Nimatullah, and Rafqa pray for us!

There is a similar apartment complex for the elderly and disabled in West Roxbury, MA - albeit not within a parish complex nor walking distance of any church. It is the undertaking of the American Arabic Benevolent Association, comprised of members of the local Maronite, Melkite, Antiochian Orthodox, and Syriac Orthodox parishes.
Many years,
Neil
