What would it be ?

I'd like to see a substantial number of people start regularly going to confession. At present, I'd say it's only about 0-3 a week, which isn't healthy.

LOL....I too am parishless right now; however I wish the Byzcaths in my old parish would bother to read a few books or *gulp*, surf the net and explore the history of their own faith.

I'd like a Deacon.

I'd also like a church building.

I wish we had so many people coming that we would have to enlarge the temple.

I would change the name of the ACRY (American Carpatho-Russian Youth)... since most members of the "senior ACRY" are WAAAAAY older than any age "youth" might even apply to. But it's more a pet peeve than anything else.

A good point. But how can you tell? Our parish priests do a lot of pastoral counseling in their offices and no doubt confessions. How can really tell what is going on during the work week?
I love the comment about "youth". Very funny. Too bad its true.

I suppose that's possible Orest, but I have had a surprising number of people tell me they never go to confession at all.

If I never went to Confession, I certainly wouldn't brag about it!

I would like to see us get rid of the pews.

Two things not one I am afraid.
#1. The people would be more responsive to the working of the Holy Spirit.
#2 They would contribute more! smile

It would have to be air conditioning of some sort! Only two side windows open in the whole church and of course the front doors.
I guess 88 degrees F and 70% humidity is ok though. Soon it'll be heating oil season again and that costs enough.

Find me a decent-paying job in a Dublin Bank, and we'll talk!
I'll even try to arrange financing for a church building!
