My friend, Father Andrew Matychak, of Altoona will undergo back surgery this week. Please keep him in your prayers. This prayer is modified from one sent to me when my wife was ill a few years ago. Thanks to the gentle and generous sister from this forum who sent it. Holy Father, Almighty and Eternal God, Heavenly Physician of our souls and bodies, Who sent Your only begotten Son to heal all our ailments and deliver us from death, visit and heal your servant, the Archpriest Andrew, restoring him to full health and vigor that he may give thanks to you and bless your holy name.
Loving God, Merciful Father, hold Father Andrew in your arms and heal him. Guide the minds and hands of his physicians, that their work may bring him to full health and to strength without pain. Pour out your courage and strength upon Father Andrew in these upcoming daysthat he may know your loving presence.
Through the prayers of the Mother of God, Lord, hear and answer our prayers on behalf of your servant, Father Andrew. AMEN.
