It has been about five years since I read the work, but I read it along with Timaeus. The latter work would be the one I recalled.
The "God", as the unmoved mover type, is spoken of by secondary sources. Plato spoke directly of the orchestrative work of a demiurge, who brought order from chaos and separated matter and souls into individual lots.
I look forward to reading "An Abundance of Love, but I won't expect to know Plato better by the read. I would be happy to come to a better understanding of the Incarnation, the greatest of miracles, however.
